Georgia O'Keeffe Mural Project
Group 1:
Well when we started on our flower we all liked it but then we said something is missing. So we changed it. We then changed the flower and when we were done we liked it then…..we thought that the colors didn’t go together. It turns out that purple petals don’t look very good with a green center. It felt as if we changed our flower 10000 times!!!!! We kept changing it because either the colors didn’t go together or we didn’t like it. Then we finally made the flower red and we all liked it a lot.
Group 2: Our group really enjoyed working together. We played off each others strengths and created a beautiful piece. Our group discussed that we didn’t have a set process but in a way we did creating the grid, painting our background and bringing our flower to life. And throughout the whole project we had the same vision, witch kept us running smoothly.
Though it sounds perfect we did have some troubles like in the end we realized our grid was showing. But with the dream team Fariha, Krystal, and Kimberly the problem was fixed. The groups flower is a huge accomplishment for us and we will never forget the experience.

What we learned with our flower is how to shade with paints. We learned that working with a group is a fun and easy way to work on projects. We also learned how to cover our mistakes by adding new things. We used metallic paints so the flower would sparkle. We painted the background black to make our flower stand out and not to distract the eyes from the real beauty. We added gold dots to the black background to add a little more sparkle. Using multiple colors to add layers that compliment the flower. Every day we added something new.

This project we painted flowers like Georgia O’ Keeffe. We worked in group of four. We all liked working in a group except for when we all had different ways of how we wanted to draw and paint the flower. The flower ended up very good and we all put a part in.

Done by Paige, Nicole, Jasmine
Well working together on this was great. We had a lot of fun. Making the colors flow with the petals was the hardest. We spent a lot of the time getting the colors to look good together. We had a lot of time to do this, Paige's favorite part was the painting. Nicole’s favorite part was drawing it out. Jasmine’s was drawing it out and just hanging out having a good time.

Georgia O’Keefe was a free thinker, who let people see the world through her own eyes. That’s what we all tried to do was to make people see our flower the way we saw it.
As one critic said upon seeing her unique work, “that it was like seeing the world through the eyes of a butterfly”. With our version of O’Keefe’s famous paintings, we tried to capture the same finely detailed likeness of her style. Originally, we planed to paint a flower first sketched by Emily, but because of her absence, we all agreed it would be more convenient to use Demi’s flower. We wanted to stay mostly true to the flowers natural beauty but also wanted to add are own style to it. When we started painting and finding the colors that we wanted it was a little hard because we would paint it one thing and them it would dry before we got to blend the other colors with it. We also had a problem with we would painting it one color and then couldn’t make the same color again. But we soon managed to get enough of the same color that we could paint the flower.
From the moment we found the correct color, it was smooth sailing. We finished the flower exactly as we wanted it to be, and were very happy with the results. We can only hope that other people will enjoy our work and appreciate our hard work.

This is about Georgia O’Keeffe.
We all did a group project that was inspired piece. Our whole class did Georgia O’Keeffe. First we had to draw the flower. Then after that we had to draw it to scale which was not very easy. After that we redrew the picture from a little piece of paper to a big canvas. Next we had to erase the scaling lines and start painting. We painted in different layers. It turned out great but we definitely could have made some improvements. We tried our hardest and I hope you like it.

Our Flower Project :D
BY Arendine, Anna, Emy :)
We thought this was a very fun project even though Anna and Emy came a day late. Anna and Emy enjoyed painting the background and taking pictures of the flower in progress and talking to my group and friends. We decided to use arendine’s flower. We chose our colors and then we started doing a grid and it was pretty hard to get the measurements right though. We had to erase a lot of them. Then we drew our flower on the canvas. So we started to paint. The color we use on the background was black with little silver and gold. Then the flower petals were yellow and the bottom was with a light pink. Then we had a little bit red metallic and a little bit of red orange so we could blend then in with.
The things that are sticking out of the flower the color we use on the steams were a light green. The top of those things are brown with black lines on it. At the end we liked the flower way more then the beginning. Our group wishes we have more group things. So we can know other people in our class. We like our painting a lot and it came out really good. We all put in our part to make it good.
